Bring insurgents, supporters to justice, urges Prayuth

The estimated 9,000 insurgents and their sympathisers must be brought to justice if the government is to quell the insurgent violence, Army Commander Prayuth Chan-ocha says.

The military defended the setting up of a strategy and the administration committee chaired by Gen Yutthasak to oversee handling of the southern. He said the crux of the problems are that plans implemented by state agencies in the deep South do not correspond to security needs.
